Democrats are beginning to see the writing on the wall — it’s virtually impossible for President Donald Trump to be impeached by the current congress.
According to Democratic Presidential candidate Andrew Yang — the outsider who’s promoted Universal Basic Income on the campaign trail — Trump is winning the war Democrats are waging against him on impeachment.
And yes, Yang is for the impeachment of Trump.
“It seems like all we can do is throw ineffective rocks at Donald Trump and then it ends up leading, unfortunately, toward his reelection,” Yang said on the Rolling Stone podcast “Useful Idiots,” according to TGP.
“I’m pro-impeachment, but this is going to be a loser,” Yang admitted, adding, “You need literally dozens of Republican senators to switch sides when the trial starts, which we’ve gotten zero indication is going to happen.”
The Democratic candidate noted that in order to be victorious in 2020, the party must work on “creating a positive vision” for Americans and the future.
“If all that happens is all of the Democrats are talking about impeachment that fails, then it seems like there is no vision,” Yang said.
Yang’s comments fall right in line with recent polling, which show that unaffiliated and independent voters have tuned out the impeachment talk entirely. In fact, Trump’s approval rating has steadily risen — even with black voters, who have been a supermajority demographic for the left — despite the madness transpiring in D.C. every single day.
