Republican Sen. Josh Hawley is beginning to see the writing on the wall — the leaks from the book of former national security advisor John Bolton may cause enough GOP senators to vote with Democrats in support of additional witnesses.
And now, Hawley is ready to go to bat for Trump and bring in individuals Democrats will have a tough time with — because just about all his proposed witnesses make up each facet of the left-leaning party.
“I say again: if the Senate is going to call witnesses, then I will ask to hear from Adam Schiff, Hunter Biden, Joe Biden & the whistleblower, at a minimum,” Hawley tweeted.

It’s everybody — politicians, benefactors, and the unelected anti-Trump government officials. And, according to Hawley, that’s only the beginning.
Some GOP senators, like Sens. Mitt Romney and Susan Collins, are all but confirmed to be voting for witnesses in light of the Bolton leaks.
“I think it’s very likely I’ll be in favor of witnesses, but I haven’t made a decision finally yet, and I won’t until the testimony is completed,” Romney said, according to the Washington Examiner.
Collins said in a statement that she is “likely to vote to call witnesses” and that the “reports about John Bolton’s book strengthen the case for witnesses and have prompted a number of conversations among my colleagues.”
