GOP Senator Rips Up Articles Of Impeachment On Video After Trump Acquittal

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may have been bested by a North Carolina Senator.

On Wednesday, immediately after President Donald Trump was acquitted by the senate, Sen. Thom Tillis published a quick video of him holding the articles of impeachment, then ripping them up Pelosi-style.

“Two can play this game, [Speaker Pelosi]. Glad to finally put impeachment in the rear view mirror so we can get back to work for the people of North Carolina,” Tillis said in the caption to the video.

As for Pelosi, her team denied that her decision to rip the copy of Trump’s State of the Union speech was a planned stunt. However, video by the Daily Mail shows Pelosi was “practicing” the rip — or pre-tearing the paper — before the big moment at the end.

“Nancy Pelosi was caught on camera practicing ‘the rip heard round the world’ even though her office denied allegation that she planned to tear up Trump’s State of the Union,” Breaking 911 tweeted.

But, despite the theatrics during the SOTU, Trump got the last word as Chief Justice John Roberts announced his acquittal loud and clear after the final vote: “”It is therefore ordered and adjudged that the said Donald John Trump be, and he is hereby, acquitted of the charges in said articles.”
