During the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton’s health was brought into question after several coughing incidents on her campaign, along with a widely-discussed medical episode at a 9/11 remembrance event, where she appeared to faint getting into her vehicle.
Despite not being prominent in the news for the last few years, her health still remains an issue of concern after she had a three-minute coughing spell during a discussion with Howard Stern on his Siris/XM show.
According to Breitbart, on Wednesday morning, the two were talking about the difficulties of social media messaging, along with the latest in the 2020 race when Clinton began a lengthy coughing fit while Stern was speaking.
Eventually, it was bad enough to where Stern stopped talking and said, “I feel like I need to give you a cough drop or something … You okay?”
“I got one,” Clinton replied in a raspy voice.
Stern then remembered the medical incidents in 2016 and noted that her coughing led many Americans to “speculate about her health.”
“I was dying,” Clinton said sarcastically through coughs. “I thought I would come on and cough some more.”
Clinton, who is 72-years-old now, has recently been deliberating another bid for president recently, telling Graham Norton that she needs to “make up her mind quickly” because “it’s moving very fast.”
“Are you saying, ‘Forget Me’ now?” Norton replied.
“Not yet,” Clinton said. “I’ve been deluged in the last few weeks with thinking about doing that. Right now, I’m not, at all, uh, you know, planning that.”
The former first lady and secretary of state should probably keep her health as priority number one while thinking on another potential 2020 run, which would thrust her into a very lengthy, stressful, and public battle with other Democrats and President Donald Trump.
