Rep. Hank Johnson Hits Peak Hysteria At Impeachment Hearing: ‘In The Basement Duct-Taped’

The impeachment proceedings are getting — well, let’s just say weird.

During Thursday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing, Democratic Rep. Hank Johnson — who’s known infamously for claiming that Guam could tip over and capsize — brought up some extremely odd talking points when discussing impeachment options.

“Colleague from Georgia talks about how Democrats are trying to make Zelensky look weak. Well, I’ll tell you. That brings to mind the picture of President Trump and President Zelensky meeting in New York in September at the UN — and a big chair for President Trump — a little chair for President Zelensky,” Johnson said.

He continued, “Big, 6’4″ President Trump and 5′ 11″ Mr. Zelensky.”

Right, because the height of individuals totally matters when it comes to impeachment inquiries? Please.

But hang on now, he wasn’t finished.

“And they’re standing there and President Trump is holding court and he says oh by the way, ‘no quid pro quo, no pressure’ and you saw President Zelensky shaking his head as if his daughter was downstairs in the basement duct-taped.”

Oh boy. Take a gander:

Not sure if this is the best word picture to paint the picture of intimidation — something that didn’t happen, as Zelensky denied “quid pro quo” on numerous occasions out of the same room as Trump. And we can’t forget about the fact that the transcript of the now-infamous call has been released so no such charges that the Democrats have brought up against Trump.
