On Monday, after the Inspector General report was released by the DOJ, former FBI Director James Comey put out a lengthy Washington Post piece looking to exonerate himself and the organization.
Shortly after releasing the article, James Comey went on a tweet storm that included a jab at Fox News, claiming they cancelled his showing.
“FYI: I offered to go on Fox & Friends to answer all questions. I can’t change their viewers on Donald Trump but hoped to give them some actual facts about the FBI. They booked me for tomorrow at 8 am. They just cancelled. Must have read the report,” Comey tweeted.

However, long-time Fox News host Bret Baier fired back by extending a personal invitation to his show, the Special Report.
Comey never responded.
“We’d love to have you back on @SpecialReport Mr. Comey – live or pretax. I have read the report. Just DM me,” Baier said.

After the IG report was released, President Donald Trump spoke out, claiming it is “worse than anything I could have imagined.”
“They fabricated evidence and they lied to the courts and they did all sorts of things to have it go their way. And this is something that we can never allow to happen again. The report actually, and especially when you look into it, the details of the report are far worse than anything I would have even imagined,” the president said.
“What they were doing and what they would have done… This was an attempted overthrow, and a lot of people were in on it and they got caught. They got caught red-handed,” Trump continued. “And I look forward to the Durham Report which is going to come out in the not too distant future… He’s got his own info, which is this info plus plus plus. It’s an incredible thing that happened and I’m glad they got caught.”
