Legendary actor and presidential supporter Jon Voight issued a call over the weekend for “highest prayers” for President Donald Trump as his legal team took the stand to argue their defense against claims of wrongdoing by Democrats.
According to USA Today, Voight, who has not been shy about his support for Trump since he took office, asked the president’s supporters to pray against the “cruel” forces on the left and for the strength to help Trump continue to work as one of this country’s greatest presidents.
“We call upon our highest prayers and ask Jesus, Moses, and all saints to save the truth that has been taken down by these cruel individuals of the left and ask God to place his hands upon this nation of the United States of America and bless and protect the truth for our President Donald Trump, so he can continue his legacy as one of our greatest presidents,” Voight said in a Twitter video.

The award-winning conservative actor doubled down on his attacks on Democrats, even calling the Democrat-led impeachment attempt against the president a “crime,” — one that he accuses Democrats of committing while undermining Trump’s successes since he took office.
“This is a disgrace to mankind and a disgrace to the people of the United States of America,” Voight continued. “For their control of deceit and disgusting lies against our President Trump, who held to his promise for our country (and) his word for our country’s love.”
Last year, Voight became the first actor/artist to be awarded the National Medal of Arts under Trump’s presidency. The president has, on several occasions, praised Voight’s conservatism and his numerous accomplishments in the film and television industry.
