In 2016, the United Kingdom voted, very narrowly, to leave the European Union in the controversial Brexit vote. Later that year, after the stunning win by conservatives in the U.K., Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, upsetting every poll and prediction.
Now, on Thursday night, the U.K. voted overwhelmingly to reject socialism and the agenda of Jeremy Corbyn, giving Boris Johnson a huge majority.
Is history about to repeat itself?
Are American voters going to follow in the footsteps of U.K. conservatives and reject progressivism and re-elect President Donald Trump?
Yes, Americans will.
Despite the lengthy special counsel investigation by Robert Mueller — which led to a massive nothing-burger — and the chaotic impeachment process put on by Reps. Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, and Jerry Nadler, Trump will emerge victorious in 2020.
And like the U.K. elections on Thursday night, it could be an overwhelming win for the president — larger than his 2016 routing of Hillary Clinton, in which he secured over 300 electoral votes.
Remember, what the media says isn’t reality. What liberal Twitter personalities say isn’t reality. What the polls say isn’t reality. The reality is that the economy is booming, jobs are being created, our border is being secured, and America is winning on the world stage once again.
Ultimately, we still have to vote.
Don’t get comfortable yet.
