Trump Puts Iran On Notice, Warns Them To Think Very Carefully Before Their Next Move

President Donald Trump took to Twitter Saturday night to remind Iran that the United States is on an entirely different military playing field than the rogue, Middle Eastern nation and in no uncertain terms, he also reminded them that if they think they’re tough enough to poke the proverbial bear, they’d better prepare for a big and powerful bite.

“The United States just spent Two Trillion Dollars on Military Equipment. We are the biggest and by far the BEST in the World! If Iran attacks an American Base, or any American, we will be sending some of that brand new beautiful equipment their way…and without hesitation!” Trump tweeted.

Trump’s warning to Iran comes on the heels of several rounds of escalating threats between Iran and the U.S., specifically after an Iranian military commander on Saturday announced that his country had selected 35 American targets they were considering striking in retaliation for the American drone strike that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani on Thursday night.

The commander in chief doubled down on his promise to make Iran feel the pain, should they decide to strike American personnel or assets, declaring that he would hit Iran harder than they’ve ever been hit before.

“They attacked us, & we hit back. If they attack again, which I would strongly advise them not to do, we will hit them harder than they have ever been hit before!” Trump tweeted.

Trump matched and beat Iran’s threat of targeting 35 American sites with his own numbered list. The president responded by saying America had 52 Iranian sites in mind for possible defensive strikes, should Iran escalate to that point. Trump explained that the number 52 was chosen as it represents the number of American hostages during the U.S. embassy siege in Tehran in 1979.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed “harsh retaliation” against the United States after the drone strike. On Sunday, CNN reported that an Iranian military adviser indicated that their retaliation would target U.S. military sites.

Do you think Iran would be foolish to launch retaliatory attacks against the United States at this point? Let us know in the comments below.
