Trump-Supporting Super Bowl Player Nick Bosa Named ‘Defensive Rookie Of The Year’

As the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs prepare to face off in Super Bowl LIV, one of the players — who has a noted history of supporting President Donald Trump — received a tremendous sports honor by winning the coveted NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award.

Nick Bosa, the 49ers’ beast-like defensive end who helped carry the team all the way to the league’s biggest game of the year, received an overwhelming 43 out of 50 votes to secure the award.

The premier rookie player has praised Trump in the past, just as Trump has offered his praise for Bosa. The defensive end once referred to Trump as the “GOAT’ — which in sports terms means “greatest of all time.”

The president himself congratulated Bosa shortly after he was drafted to the NFL in April 2019.

“Congratulations to Nick Bosa on being picked number two in the NFL Draft. You will be a great player for years to come, maybe one of the best. Big Talent! San Francisco will embrace you but most importantly, always stay true to yourself. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump tweeted at the time.

“Bosa broke the 49ers record with 16 tackles for loss this year, the rookie also had nine sacks,” according Breitbart sports writer Todd Huston.

“The 22-year-old Florida native was also named to the 2019 Pro Bowl and won the Pro Football Writers of America 2019 rookie of the year, and all-rookie team awards,” he added.
