On Tuesday night, CNN and the Des Moines Register hosted the latest Democratic debate, featuring the top six candidates in polling and fundraising.
However, despite the numerous attacks on President Donald Trump by the candidates, CNN contributor and social justice activist Van Jones said afterward that he believes Trump still has the upper hand.
“And I want to say that tonight for me was dispiriting. Democrats have to do better than what we saw tonight. There was nothing I saw tonight that would be able to take Donald Trump out. And I want to see a Democrat in the White House as soon as possible,” Jones said.

After the debate, Trump retweeted a post from the Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles, in which he said, “If the election were held in the 24 hours after this #DemocraticDebate, Trump would win every single state, including Greenland.”

The president hosted a rally right before the debate last night, filling a Milwaukee, Wisconsin arena to its 12,700 person capacity. There were hundreds more outside who were unable to get in.
At the “Keep America Great” rally, Trump touted economic growth under his administration and his decisiveness in Middle East, along with bashing the impeachment proceedings spearheaded by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
